KSGG stands for Kanagawa Systematized Goodwill Guide, the volunteer guide and interpreter club, organized under the auspices of the Japan National Tourist Organization (JNTO), Kanagawa Prefectural Government and Yokohama Convention & Visitors Bureau.
Q2: What does KSGG provide us with?
KSGG provides foreign tourists and visitors in Yokohama, Kamakura and Fujisawa areas with a Goodwill Guide who takes them for sightseeing and makes their visit easy and pleasant.
Q3: How can we get the KSGG guide services?
You need to apply for the services through the KSGG website, in which you find a page named‘Application For Guide Services.’ You are required to fill out the form at least two weeks before your arrival in Japan. As you fill out the form on theweb page and agree to the KSGG Tour Guide Policy, you are to submit it by clicking the 'SUBMIT' button.
Q4: Do we need to pay for the services?
No, you don’t, excepting some actual expenses for a guide and for yourself. See the Guide Policy for details.
Q5: Does KSGG recommend places and spots worth visiting?
Yes, we do. We at KSGG have several course plans to recommend, which you find in our website“Guided Tour Plans.” You may select one of them, and inform us of it when you send us the application.
Q6: What languages do KSGG guides speak?
We can cover seven foreign languages. They are English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, and Korean.
Q7: Do KSGG guides extend services in areas outside Yokohama, Kamakura, and Fujisawa?
No, we don’t. Areas other than Yokohama, Kamakura, and Fujisawa are covered by other local SGG clubs.
Q8: Could you help us obtain the same services in other areas, say Hakone?
Certainly, we can. We will see to it that a guide meets you from other areas you like to visit, such as Odawara-Hakone area, Tokyo Metropolitan area, and others.
